Cream Cheese Empanadas

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 36
  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (22 ounce) can apple pie filling
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Recipe

  • 1 cream margarine and cream cheese in bowl.
  • 2 blend in flour and salt.
  • 3 chill for 2 hours to overnight.
  • 4 roll dough on floured surface. cut with biscuit cutter.
  • 5 spoon apple filling; seal edges with fork.
  • 6 place on baking sheet.
  • 7 mix egg and 1 t. water. brush over empanadas.
  • 8 sprinkle with mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
  • 9 bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
