Cottage Cheese Pie

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 cups cream-style cottage cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 lemon, rind of, grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400°f.
  • 2 press the cheese through a sieve 2 times.
  • 3 add the butter, sugar, salt, flour, lemon rind, unbeaten egg yolks, chopped raisins, nuts and milk.
  • 4 stir well.
  • 5 beat the egg whites until stiff.
  • 6 fold into cheese mixture.
  • 7 bake for 30 minutes or until browned and firm.
