Creamy Cream Cheese Grits

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon tabasco brand pepper sauce
  • 1 cup grits, quick-cooking
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into cubes

Recipe

  • 1 in a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the milk, garlic powder, salt, pepper and tabasco. heat, stirring slowly and constantly, until the milk just comes to a boil. add the grits and stir to mix. reduce the heat to low, cover and cook until the mixture is thick and creamy, 5 to 6 minutes.
