Creamy Filled Brownies

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup nuts, finely chopped
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 350* --
- 2 line a jelly roll pan with foil, grease the foil.
- 3 in a small pan, melt butter, remove from heat and stir in cocoa till smooth --
- 4 in small bowl, beat eggs, and gradually add sugar, beating till fluffy --
- 5 in seperate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt and add to egg mixture.
- 6 add cocoa mixture and vanilla and blend well.
- 7 stir in 1 cup of nuts --
- 8 spread batter in pan.
- 9 bake 12-14 minutes.
- 10 cool completely in pan on rack.
- 11 remove from pan to cutting board.
- 12 remove foil, cut brownie in half lengthwise,.
- 13 spread one half with creamy filling.top with second half -- then drizzle with glaze.
- 14 after glaze has set, cut into 24 bars.
- 15 to prepare creamy filling:.
- 16 in small bowl, combine 1 pkg cream cheese, 2 tbls butter and 1 tsp vanilla.mix till smooth and add powdered sugar and blend well till fluffy.
- 17 to prepare glaze:.
- 18 in small pan, heat 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tbls water to boiling.remove from heat, add 1/2 cup mini chips.stir till melted.
