Creamy Filled Brownies

Total Time: 47 mins Preparation Time: 35 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts, finely chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350* --
  • 2 line a jelly roll pan with foil, grease the foil.
  • 3 in a small pan, melt butter, remove from heat and stir in cocoa till smooth --
  • 4 in small bowl, beat eggs, and gradually add sugar, beating till fluffy --
  • 5 in seperate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt and add to egg mixture.
  • 6 add cocoa mixture and vanilla and blend well.
  • 7 stir in 1 cup of nuts --
  • 8 spread batter in pan.
  • 9 bake 12-14 minutes.
  • 10 cool completely in pan on rack.
  • 11 remove from pan to cutting board.
  • 12 remove foil, cut brownie in half lengthwise,.
  • 13 spread one half with creamy filling.top with second half -- then drizzle with glaze.
  • 14 after glaze has set, cut into 24 bars.
  • 15 to prepare creamy filling:.
  • 16 in small bowl, combine 1 pkg cream cheese, 2 tbls butter and 1 tsp vanilla.mix till smooth and add powdered sugar and blend well till fluffy.
  • 17 to prepare glaze:.
  • 18 in small pan, heat 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tbls water to boiling.remove from heat, add 1/2 cup mini chips.stir till melted.
