Cinnamon Rolls For The Breadmaker

Total Time: 1 hr 55 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr 30 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon fast rising yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons low-fat cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon water (or enough to desired thickness)

Recipe

  • 1 in bread machine combine yeast, water and 1 teaspoon sugar and wait until foaming.
  • 2 add the remaining ingredients and set to dough cycle.
  • 3 when cycle is done punch down dough and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • 4 combine ingredients for filling in a small bowl and spread over dough.
  • 5 roll up and pinch edge together to seal.
  • 6 cut into 9 slices.
  • 7 butter a 13x9 pan and place cinnamon roll slices close together in pan.
  • 8 let rise in a warm place until dough is doubled in bulk i.e. for about 20 minutes.
  • 9 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 10 bake for 25 minutes or until done.
  • 11 cool.
  • 12 to make icing combine all ingredients and mix with a whisk until smooth.
  • 13 pour icing over rolls.
