Breakfast Casserole

Total Time: 9 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 9 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb sausage or 1 lb ham
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard (spice not prepared)
  • 6 slices bread, cut into cubes (i have actually used all kinds of bread including french or leftover rolls etc.)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 if using sausage, brown and drain -- set aside.
  • 2 in large bowl beat eggs, milk, salt and mustard.
  • 3 stir in bread cubes, cheese and meat.
  • 4 pour into greased 11x7 baking dish.
  • 5 cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
  • 6 remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
  • 7 bake at 350°f for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
