Chili Dogs

Ingredients
- Servings: 60
- 10 onions, chopped
- 20 garlic cloves, chopped
- 10 lbs lean ground beef
- 114 ounces ketchup
- 3 -28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 10 teaspoons chili powder
- 20 tablespoons yellow mustard
- salt & pepper
- 120 hot dogs
- 120 buns
- 10 onions, chopped
- 10 tomatoes, chopped
- 10 lbs cheddar cheese, shredded
Recipe
- 1 heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- 2 when hot, add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring, until it is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- 3 add the ground beef, breaking it up with the back of a spoon, and cook until nicely browned, about 10 more minutes.
- 4 stir in the ketchup, chili powder, and mustard and simmer for 15 minutes until thickened.
- 5 season with salt and pepper.
- 6 boil, fry or grill the dogs.
- 7 serve with the chopped onions, chopped tomatoes and the shredded cheese.
