Creamy Lamb Chops

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 lamb chops
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 whole peeled garlic cloves
  • salt (i use garlic salt)
  • pepper
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2 sprinkle lamb chops with salt and pepper.
  • 3 brown lamb chops over medium-high heat.
  • 4 when chops are browned, but not cooked through, place in a 13x9 baking dish.
  • 5 in the same skillet you browned the chops saute the sliced onions until caramelized, sprinkling with a little salt to add flavor and bring out the sugars.
  • 6 when the onions are starting to get a little color add your garlic cloves.
  • 7 when onions and garlic are nicely caramelized pour over lamb chops.
  • 8 in the same skillet add the can of cream of chicken soup, milk, salt and pepper to taste, and parmesan cheese. whisk until all the lumps are gone.
  • 9 when this reaches a creamy texture (you may need to add a little water if it's too thick) pour over lamb chops and onions.
  • 10 bake uncovered for 45 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chops.
