Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, divided
- 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups cake flour, sifted
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Recipe
- 1 sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans in a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan; set aside.
- 2 cream butter and cream cheese in a large bowl.
- 3 gradually add sugar; beat well.
- 4 add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- 5 add flour and salt, stir until combined.
- 6 stir in vanilla and remaining pecans.
- 7 pour into prepared pan.
- 8 bake at 325* for 1-1/2 hours, until a pick comes out clean.
- 9 cool in pan 10 minutes.
- 10 remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
