Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups cake flour, sifted
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans in a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan; set aside.
  • 2 cream butter and cream cheese in a large bowl.
  • 3 gradually add sugar; beat well.
  • 4 add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • 5 add flour and salt, stir until combined.
  • 6 stir in vanilla and remaining pecans.
  • 7 pour into prepared pan.
  • 8 bake at 325* for 1-1/2 hours, until a pick comes out clean.
  • 9 cool in pan 10 minutes.
  • 10 remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
