Chee-zee Pecan Pie

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 9 in. unbaked pastry shell
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425f degrees.
  • 2 in a mixing bowl, with electric mixer, beat together cream cheese, sugar, one egg and vanilla until smooth.
  • 3 spread mixture evenly in pie shell.
  • 4 sprinkle pecans over cream cheese mixture.
  • 5 in another mixing bowl, with electric mixer, beat together remaining 3 eggs, corn syrup and brown sugar; mix well.
  • 6 pour this mixture evenly over the pecans.
  • 7 bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 375f and bake for 25 to 30 minutes longer, or until pie is set and golden.
  • 8 let cool before slicing.
