Chilie Relleno Casserole

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 (7 ounce) cans of ortega diced green chilies
  • 2 (4 ounce) cans of ortega whole green chilies
  • 1 lb monterey jack cheese, grated
  • 1 dozen egg
  • 1 (8 ounce) can evaporated milk

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven 375.
  • 2 13x9 baking dish place a layer of the whole green chillies on the bottom. you must split them in half.
  • 3 sprinkle a thin of cheese on top of whole chillies.
  • 4 next layer will the diced green chillies.
  • 5 repeat layers of diced chillies and cheese making sure the cheese is the last layer.
  • 6 in a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and evaporated milk.
  • 7 pour mixture over the casserole.
  • 8 place it in oven and let bake 35-40 minute.
